Auch in diesem Jahr verfolgte die Veranstaltung einen klaren caritativen Zweck, denn die Spendengelder sind erneut f\u00fcr das Projekt &#8222;Schule f\u00fcr Afrika&#8220; gedacht. Die wichtigsten Ziele dieses Projektes sind der Ausbau des Massai &#8211; College in Arusha\/ Tansania und die Unterst\u00fctzung einer Grundschule im Armenviertel von Arusha. Sportlich galt es, je nach Fitnesstand und Leistungsverm\u00f6gen, Laufstrecken von 2,5 km, 5 km oder 10 Kilometern auf einem anspruchsvollen Rundkurs im Barnstorfer Wald zu bew\u00e4ltigen. F\u00fcr die Allermeisten der Aktiven war der 19.Rostocker Spendenlauf eine gute M\u00f6glichkeit, in das Wettkampfjahr zu starten. Immerhin 30 Laager Clubl\u00e4uferinnen und -l\u00e4ufer waren im Starterfeld und zogen, je nach Leistungsverm\u00f6gen, ihre Runden durch den Barnstorfer Wald. Bei guter Stimmung wurde gek\u00e4mpft, geschwitzt und \u00fcber so manchen kleinen H\u00fcgel geschimpft. Auf den zum Teil matschigen Wegen wurde das Laufen mit zunehmender Dauer immer schwieriger und viele Teilnehmerinnen und teilnehmer waren im Ziel platt und zufrieden.
