Bei den Bamberg Baskets verlor das Team von Coach Christian Held mit 83:93 (33:49). Obwohl die G\u00e4ste drei Viertel gewinnen konnten, waren das zweite Viertel (6:25) wie auch die Rebound-Schw\u00e4che die ausschlagenden Gr\u00fcnde f\u00fcr die Niederlage. Tyler Nelson war mit 16 Z\u00e4hlern bester Rostocker Werfer. Adrian Nelson und Zach Copeland erzielten jeweils 15 Punkte f\u00fcr die Oberfranken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Bamberg Baskets gegen ROSTOCK SEAWOLVES 93:83 (49:33)<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Die Begegnung begann schwungvoll mit gutem Offensivdrang auf beiden Seiten. Die Gastgeber hatten jedoch zun\u00e4chst mehr Wurfgl\u00fcck. Nach einem Drei-Punkte-Wurf von Karsten Tadda und nachl\u00e4ssigem Rebounding seitens Rostock konnten die Bamberger einen fr\u00fchen Vorsprung (7:17, 5. Min) verzeichnen. Eric Lockett beendete den Lauf der Franken mit einem erfolgreichen Drei-Punkt-Spiel. Doch die Offensivmaschinerie der Hausherren lief weiter auf Hochtouren und war von den Rostockern nicht zu kontrollieren; nach sechs Minuten zeigte die Anzeigetafel 22 Punkte f\u00fcr Bamberg an. Coach Held nahm eine Auszeit und weckte sein Team auf. Der Korb war wie vernagelt. Die Bamberger hingegen nutzten dies aus. Ein spektakul\u00e4rer Alley-Oop von EJ Onu brachte Bamberg und das Publikum ins Spiel. Trey Woodbury baute den Bamberger Vorsprung auf sechs Z\u00e4hler aus (29:35, 15. Min). Nach einem Dunk von Woodbury zog Bamberg auf 30:44 (18. Min) davon. Die SEAWOLVES hatten Schwierigkeiten, zu punkten. Ein 12:0-Lauf der Bamberger bescherte den Rostocker ein 33:49-Halbzeitdefizit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Nach dem Seitenwechsel wuchs der R\u00fcckstand auf bis zu 21 Z\u00e4hler an (38:59, 24. Min). Neben Nachl\u00e4ssigkeiten im Rebounding \u2013 Bamberg sammelte insgesamt 15 Rebounds mehr und erarbeitete sich im gesamten Spiel 17 W\u00fcrfe mehr als Rostock \u2013 agierten die SEAWOLVES zu leichtfertig im Ballvortrag und erlaubten den Bambergern immer wieder einfach K\u00f6rbe. Dennoch hielt Yasin Kolo die Rostocker mit acht Z\u00e4hlern im dritten Durchgang halbwegs auf Kurs. Vor dem Schlussviertel betrug der R\u00fcckstand nur noch 13 Z\u00e4hler (57:70).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In den letzten Minuten versuchten die SEAWOLVES ein Comeback. Zwei erfolgreiche Dreier von Tyler Nelson brachten sie auf 63:70 (33. Min) heran. Bamberg verteidigte jedoch geschickt und zog erneut davon. Das sind einfach zu viele, so kann man kein Spiel gewinnen in dieser Liga, daf\u00fcr ist die Liga einfach zu stark. Das zweite Viertel war am Ende das, was uns das Genick gebrochen hat. Wir haben viele Fehler gemacht und waren bis auf wenige Ausnahmen in der zweiten Halbzeit zu keinem Zeitpunkt im Spiel. Nichtsdestotrotz haben wir gek\u00e4mpft. Das ist wichtig, dass wir nicht auseinandergebrochen sind. Entscheidend war wie gesagt das zweite Viertel offensiv und die 18 Bamberger Offensiv-Rebounds, die einfach zu viel sind. Was wir mitnehmen, ist der Charakter, den einige dann gezeigt haben und auch der Zusammenhalt, sich in so ein Spiel wieder zur\u00fcckzufighten und eben nicht aufzugeben.
