Schon bei der Bewerbung Deutschlands f\u00fcr die Austragung der Olympischen Spiele 2012 hatte der Landessportbund MV Warnem\u00fcnde f\u00fcr die Segelwettbewerbe ins Spiel gebracht. Nun ist eine erneute Bewerbung f\u00fcr die Jahre 2036 oder 20240 im Gespr\u00e4ch und wieder wirft der LSB seinen Hut in den Ring, f\u00fcr Olympische Segelwettbewerbe vor Warnem\u00fcnde.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Der Standort bietet sowohl Sportlern als auch Zuschauern optimale Bedingungen. Jetzt gilt es, den Deutschen Olympischen Sportbund davon zu \u00fcberzeugen. Unterst\u00fctzung holte sich der LSB bei Ministerpr\u00e4sidentin Manuela Schwesig. Am vergangenen Donnerstag empfing Schwesig hochrangige Vertreter des Deutschen Olympischen Sportbundes (DOSB) und des Landessportbundes (LSB) zu einem Gespr\u00e4ch. An dem konstruktiven Gespr\u00e4ch nahmen DOSB Pr\u00e4sident Thomas Weikert (per Video zugeschaltet), Torsten Burmester, Vorstandsvorsitzender und Stephan Brause aus der Stabsstelle Olympiabewerbung und LSB Pr\u00e4sident Andreas Bluhm und Gesch\u00e4ftsf\u00fchrer Torsten Haverland teil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ministerpr\u00e4sidentin Schwesig \u00e4u\u00dferte sich optimistisch \u00fcber die Chancen Mecklenburg-Vorpommerns, Gastgeber f\u00fcr die Segelwettbewerbe der Olympischen Spiele zu werden. Sie betonte die reiche Segeltradition Mecklenburg-Vorpommerns und die erstklassige Infrastruktur. Sie sei bereit, die Segel f\u00fcr die Olympischen Spiele 2036 oder 2040 zu setzen und der Welt zu zeigen, dass wir die perfekten Gastgeber f\u00fcr dieses bedeutende Ereignis sein w\u00fcrden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Im Anschluss an das Treffen in der Staatskanzlei folgte mit den G\u00e4sten vom DOSB sowie Steffen Bockhahn (Rostocks Senator f\u00fcr Jugend, Soziales, Gesundheit und Schule) in Vertretung der Oberb\u00fcrgermeisterin und Mathias Fromm, Leiter der \u00f6rtlichen Tourismuszentrale, eine umfangreiche Besichtigung des Standortes Warnem\u00fcnde.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201eWir w\u00fcnschen uns f\u00fcr die Bewerbung von Mecklenburg-Vorpommern f\u00fcr die Olympischen Segelwettbewerbe eine breite Unterst\u00fctzung aus Politik, Wirtschaft und Sport. Der LSB ist fest entschlossen, die Chance zu nutzen, die Spiele nach Mecklenburg-Vorpommern zu holen und damit den Tourismus, die Wirtschaft und den Sport in der Region zu st\u00e4rken\u201c, macht LSB-Pr\u00e4sident Bluhm deutlich.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
