Am Samstag trafen sich die Rugbyteams aus Mecklenburg und Vorpommern, um in Neubrandenburg beim finalen Spieltag der MV-Cup-Serie den Meister im 7er-Rugby zu kr\u00f6nen. Im Modus jeder-gegen-jeden trat der Favorit aus Rostock gegen die Freibeuter Wismar, Fortuna Neuenkirchen (bei Greifswald) sowie die gastgebenden Turbine Neubrandenburg an. Bei den vergangenen drei Spieltagen konnten die Rostocker insgesamt \u00fcberzeugen, bei einer einzigen Niederlage in insgesamt neun Spielen. Die Favoritenrolle war im Vorfeld also klar verteilt. Einzig die Freibeuter aus Wismar konnten den Rostockern noch den Titel streitig machen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die Rostocker kamen mit gro\u00dfem Kader und breiter Brust nach Neubrandenburg und wollten sich unbedingt die Rugbykrone von MV aufsetzen. Das erste Spiel des Tages bestritten Fortuna Neuenkirchen gegen die Freibeuter Wismar in der Gluthitze der Webasto-Arena. Aufgrund der d\u00fcnnen Personaldecke der Wismarer halfen einige Rostocker Spieler bei den Freibeutern aus und setzen in ihrem \u201eWarm-up-Game\u201c gleich deutliche Akzente. So \u00fcberzeugten die Freibeuter im Auftaktspiel mit 36:0 gegen defensiv teils \u00fcberforderte Fortunen. Im zweiten Spiel folgte anschlie\u00dfend der Auftritt der Rostocker Favoriten gegen das starke Team der Gastgeber.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Von Beginn an schenkten sich beide Teams nichts. Neubrandenburg agierte engagiert und mit viel K\u00f6rpereinsatz, wohingegen die Rostocker ihre Schnelligkeit und Ballsicherheit ausspielten. Die Rostocker brauchten einige Minuten, um ins Spiel zu finden. Aber mit zunehmender Spieldauer wurden die Aktionen zielgerichteter und die ausgewiesene Taktik des Trainers, Martin Gordon Hille, wurde besser umgesetzt. Am Ende stand ein 33:5 Sieg f\u00fcr die Rostocker auf der Anzeigetafel, der teilweise noch sehr von Einzelaktionen gepr\u00e4gt war, aber das K\u00f6nnen der Mannschaft best\u00e4tigte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nach nur wenigen Minuten Pause folgte dann das n\u00e4chste Spiel gegen Fortuna Neuenkirchen. Offensichtlich hatte die deutliche Ansprache des Trainers gewirkt. Die Rostocker spielten konzentrierter ihre Angriffe zu Ende, lie\u00dfen der Fortuna kaum Ballbesitz und packten in der Verteidigung konsequent zu. Die Angriffsmaschinerie des Turnierfavoriten kam richtig ins Rollen und \u00fcberforderte die M\u00e4nner aus Neuenkirchen mit fortschreitender Spielzeit immer mehr, sodass es quasi im Minutentakt Punkte f\u00fcr die Rostocker zu verzeichnen gab. Nach dem Schlusspfiff rief der souver\u00e4ne Schiedsrichter, Pierre Fandrich, ein deutliches und auch in der H\u00f6he verdientes 54:0 f\u00fcr Rugby Rostock aus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Im letzten Spiel der Rostocker wartete dann der \u00e4rgste Verfolger auf den Titel, die Freibeuter aus Wismar, auf die M\u00e4nner von der Warnow. Motiviert durch die souver\u00e4nen Auftaktspiele wollten die Rostocker ihre Siegesserie weiter ausbauen und sich am heutigen Tag ungeschlagen den Landesmeistertitel holen. Aufgrund der hei\u00dfen Mittagstemperaturen erhielten einige etablierte Kr\u00e4fte eine Pause und machten Platz f\u00fcr vielversprechende Talente aus der Rugby-Rostock-Schmiede. Doch die Wismarer machten von Beginn an ordentlich Druck, dem die \u201ejungen Wilden\u201c aus Rostock nicht gewachsen schienen, so konnten die Freibeuter mit drei gelegten Versuchen in F\u00fchrung gehen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nach dem Seitenwechsel rotierte der Trainer dann einige erfahrene Kr\u00e4fte ins Team zur\u00fcck und sofort zogen Spieltempo und -schnelligkeit an. Rostock glich binnen weniger Minuten aus und konnte sogar noch zwei weitere Versuche zum hart umk\u00e4mpften 29:17 Sieg \u00fcber Wismar legen. In den weiteren Partien siegten die Freibeuter mit 31:5 gegen Fortuna Neuenkirchen und der Gastgeber aus Neubrandenburg \u00fcberzeugte mit einen 31:21, in einem hochspannendem Match, ebenfalls gegen die Fortuna vor den zahlreich erschienenen Zuschauenden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nach Turnierende fand der sichtlich stolze Trainer der Rostocker, Martin Gordon Hille, nur lobende Worte f\u00fcr sein Team: \u201eDu Jungs k\u00f6nnen wirklich stolz auf sich und ihre Leistungen in dieser Saison sein. Heute haben alle gespielt und f\u00fcnf unserer Rookies konnten sogar einen Versuch erzielen.\u201c Der Rostocker Routinier und Kapit\u00e4n, Andreas Rohde f\u00fcgte noch hinzu: \u201eWir bedanken uns bei den anderen Teams und den Schiedsrichtern f\u00fcr die spannenden Spiele und gezeigten Leistungen. Das l\u00e4sst f\u00fcr die Zukunft des Rugbysports in M-V viel Gutes erhoffen. Wir haben heute super als Team funktioniert und werden den Titel noch ordentlich gefeiern.\u201c<\/p>\n\n\n\n
