Knapp zehn Millionen weibliche Mitgliedschaften z\u00e4hlen Deutschlands 86.000 Sportvereine laut der aktuellen Bestandserhebung des Deutschen Olympischen Sportbundes (DOSB) von Oktober 2024.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Das entspricht mehr als 23 Prozent der weiblichen Bev\u00f6lkerung. Damit ist insgesamt fast jede vierte Frau und jedes vierte M\u00e4dchen Mitglied in einem Sportverein. Die Verteilung h\u00e4ngt dabei stark vom Alter ab. Wo bei den Sieben- bis 14-J\u00e4hrigen noch mehr als 60 Prozent Mitglied in einem Sportverein sind, sinkt diese Zahl mit zunehmendem Alter auf knapp 16 Prozent bei den \u00dc60-J\u00e4hrigen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>F\u00fcr Michaela R\u00f6hrbein, Vorst\u00e4ndin Sportentwicklung im DOSB, eine insgesamt positive Nachricht zum Weltfrauentag: \u201eIch freue mich sehr, dass sich so viele Frauen und M\u00e4dchen f\u00fcr Vereinssport begeistern. Wir wissen aus zahlreichen Studien, dass Sport insbesondere f\u00fcr Frauen und M\u00e4dchen so viele positive Effekt hat \u2013 von gesundheitlichen Aspekten zu gesteigertem Selbstwertgef\u00fchl und wichtigen Werten f\u00fcrs Leben, die sie beim Sport lernen. Aber wir wissen leider auch, dass noch Luft nach oben ist. Frauen und M\u00e4dchen stellen nur 40 Prozent der Vereinsmitgliedschaften, obwohl ihr Anteil in der Bev\u00f6lkerung 50 Prozent betr\u00e4gt. Hier m\u00fcssen wir mehr tun, um echte Gleichberechtigung im Sport zu erreichen.\u201c<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Der DOSB setzt sich mit unterschiedlichen Programmen f\u00fcr die F\u00f6rderung von gleichberechtigter Teilhabe im Sport ein. So hat der Dachverband des deutschen Sports gemeinsam mit der Initiative \u201eKlischeefrei im Sport \u2013 no stereotypes\u201c einen Fokus auf Chancengerechtigkeit und die Gleichstellung der Geschlechter im Sport gesetzt. Mit einfach verst\u00e4ndlichen Factsheets und kostenlosen E-Learning-Kursen k\u00f6nnen sich Interessierte fortbilden, um aktiv an der Gestaltung einer klischeefreien Sportkultur mitzuwirken. Zudem gilt f\u00fcr das DOSB-Pr\u00e4sidium und ab 2026 ebenso auf den DOSB-Mitgliederversammlungen eine verbindliche Geschlechterquote von mindestens 30 Prozent f\u00fcr alle Delegierten.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Sport hat insbesondere f\u00fcr Frauen und M\u00e4dchen zahlreiche positive Effekte. Bei einer breit angelegten Studie aus den USA der Unternehmensberatung Deloitte aus dem Jahr 2023 gaben 85 Prozent der befragten Frauen, die aktiv Sport getrieben haben, an, dass die F\u00e4higkeiten, die sie beim Sport entwickelt haben, f\u00fcr ihren beruflichen Erfolg wichtig waren \u2013 bei Frauen in F\u00fchrungspositionen ist dieser Anteil (91 Prozent) sogar noch h\u00f6her.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Die Weltgesundheitsorganisation (WHO) empfiehlt f\u00fcr Kinder und Jugendliche durchschnittlich mindestens 60 Minuten Bewegung mittlerer bis hoher Intensit\u00e4t pro Tag, bei Erwachsenen liegt die Empfehlung bei mindestens 150 Minuten k\u00f6rperlicher Aktivit\u00e4t pro Woche. In Deutschland erreichen diese Werte lediglich 54 Prozent der M\u00e4dchen sowie 45 Prozent der Frauen. Bei Jungen und M\u00e4nnern liegen sie mit 60 Prozent respektive 51 Prozent h\u00f6her. Dabei treten bei Frauen bereits fr\u00fcher positive gesundheitliche Effekte ein als bei M\u00e4nnern, wenn sie regelm\u00e4\u00dfig Sport treiben.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Michaela R\u00f6hrbein sieht deshalb noch viel Potenzial auf dem Weg zu gleichberechtigter Teilhabe im Sport: \u201eSport im Verein leistet einen wichtigen Beitrag zur F\u00f6rderung der physischen und psychischen Gesundheit von Frauen und M\u00e4dchen und auch zur gleichberechtigen Teilhabe insgesamt. Die Zahlen steigen, aber der organsierte Sport allein kann nicht alle Probleme l\u00f6sen. Viele Aspekte, wie sich hartn\u00e4ckig haltende Genderstereotype, ungleich verteilte Care-Arbeit, ausfallender Schulsport und wesentlich geringere mediale Berichterstattung \u00fcber Frauen im Sport sind gesamtgesellschaftliche Aufgaben, die Auswirkungen auf den Vereinssport haben und damit auf das Sporttreiben von Frauen und M\u00e4dchen.
