Am 4. Mai kommt es in Chemnitz zum Ostduell: Die NINERS empfangen die ROSTOCK SEAWOLVES um 16:30 Uhr zum Showdown im Kampf um die begehrten Playoff-Pl\u00e4tze. Die punktgleichen Tabellennachbarn (Rostock 7. Platz, Chemnitz 5. Platz) werden alles auf dem Platz lassen, um sich einen direkten Startplatz f\u00fcr die Meisterschaftsrunde zu sichern und nicht den Weg \u00fcber das Play-In-Turnier gehen zu m\u00fcssen. Ab 16:15 Uhr \u00fcbertragt Streaming-Dienst DYN die Partie live, Stefan Koch kommentiert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beim ersten Aufeinandertreffen in dieser Saison entf\u00fchrten die Chemnitzer die Punkte in einem dramatischen Duell von der Ostsee. Die SEAWOLVES unterlagen mit 60:68 in der StadtHalle Rostock; im Schlussviertel behielten die G\u00e4ste aus Sachsen die besseren Nerven.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Am vergangenen Samstag mussten die Rostocker nach f\u00fcnf Siegen in Serie eine 79:92-Niederlage in Oldenburg verschmerzen. \u201cWir sind jetzt in der Phase der Saison, in der jede Niederlage und jeder Sieg sehr schwer wiegt und \u00fcber sehr viele Positionen in der Tabelle entscheidet. Wir wollen selbst mit mehr defensiver Intensit\u00e4t an den Tag treten, aus der Niederlage gegen Oldenburg lernen und unsere Schl\u00fcsse daraus ziehen\u201d, meint SEAWOLVES-Coach Przemyslaw Frasunkiewicz.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die Chemnitzer hingegen mussten seitdem zwei Mal in der Liga antreten (Rostock hatte spielfrei). Dabei unterlagen sie vor eigenem Publikum ALBA Berlin (81:103) und erk\u00e4mpften sich am Donnerstag einen 104:100-Sieg nach Verl\u00e4ngerung gegen die MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg. Im April konnte das Team von Coach Rodrigo Pastrore nur einen weiteren Sieg einfahren (99:98 gegen Bamberg), dem gegen\u00fcber stehen vier Niederlagen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dennoch warnt der Rostocker Coach vor den NINERS: \u201cWir erwarten ein sehr hart umk\u00e4mpftes, unangenehmes und physisches Spiel in Chemnitz. Wir treffen auf eine NINERS-Mannschaft, die wir in der Hinrunde so nicht gespielt haben, denn sie haben sehr gute Nachverpflichtungen get\u00e4tigt; mit Jacob Gilyard, Damien Jefferson und Kevin Yebo haben sie sich gerade auch offensiv eine hohe Qualit\u00e4t in den Kader geholt. Auch Chemnitz hat mit Ausf\u00e4llen von Schl\u00fcsselspielern zu k\u00e4mpfen, wie z.B. der schweren Verletzung von Aher Uguak. Sie sind derzeit auf der Suche, ihren eigenen Rhythmus zu finden.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Insofern verspricht das zehnte Aufeinandertreffen beider Teams (in ProA und BBL) erneut Spannung bis in die Schlussminute. Bislang konnten die SEAWOLVES zwei Siege gegen die NINERS einfahren, jeweils in Sachsen. Frasunkiewicz \u00fcbt sich in Zuversicht: \u201cWir denken, dass wir eine M\u00f6glichkeit haben, einen Sieg aus Chemnitz zu entf\u00fchren vor einer tollen Kulisse, wenn wir geschlossen als Mannschaft auftreten wie auch gemeinschaftlich und strukturiert bei unseren defensiven Regeln bleiben.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
