Eine knappe Woche vor dem ersten Startschuss der 23. hella marathon nacht rostock zogen einige Sorgenfalten bei den Verantwortlichen auf. Grund war die Wettervorhersage f\u00fcr den Veranstaltungstag. Im Tagesverlauf wurden Regen und Gewitter angek\u00fcndigt, der Blick auf die entsprechenden Wetter-Apps geh\u00f6rte zur t\u00e4glichen Routine. Das Munkeln dar\u00fcber auch.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Doch die L\u00e4uferinnen und L\u00e4ufer lie\u00dfen sich von derart unwirtlichen Vorhersagen nicht abschrecken. Schon im Vorfeld war klar, dass die 23. Auflage dieser besonderen Marathon-Nacht in der Hansestadt mehr als nur gut angenommen wurde. Erstmals war der Halbmarathon komplett ausverkauft, auch s\u00e4mtliche andere Wettbewerbe konnten deutliche Zuw\u00e4chse verzeichnen: Am Ende lagen 2796 Voranmeldungen vor. Rekord!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ins Ziel kamen insgesamt 2261 L\u00e4uferinnen und L\u00e4ufer. Im Vorjahr waren es 2235 Voranmeldungen und 1865 Finisher. Ein deutliches Plus. \u201eWir freuen uns \u00fcber das gestiegene Interesse an der hella marathon nacht rostock. Insbesondere der Halbmarathon hat sich den letzten Jahren als gro\u00dfes Zugpferd der Veranstaltung hervorgetan, welcher immer mehr ausw\u00e4rtige L\u00e4uferinnen und L\u00e4ufer in die Hansestadt bewegt\u201c, sagt Steven Richter, Gesch\u00e4ftsf\u00fchrer des Veranstalters BMS Die Laufgesellschaft mbH. Die steigenden Teilnehmerzahlen sind nicht nur f\u00fcr die Rostocker Veranstaltung zu verzeichnen, dieser Trend ist bei nahezu allen Laufveranstaltungen zu erleben. J\u00fcngere L\u00e4uferinnen und L\u00e4ufer „entdecken“ Laufveranstaltungen f\u00fcr sich, die Nachwehen der Corona-Pandemie scheinen offensichtlich \u00fcberwunden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Und das Wetter in Rostock? Zeigte sich von der allerbesten Seite. Bis auf knapp eine dreiviertel Stunde. Da goss es wie aus Eimern. Mit dem Ende der Siegerehrung des Sch\u00fclerlaufs \u00f6ffnete Petrus seine Schleusen und sch\u00fcttete auf die L\u00e4uferinnen und L\u00e4ufer so richtig ordentlich. Der Start des Marathonlaufs, der eigentlich f\u00fcr 18 Uhr vorgesehen war, musste um zehn Minuten verschoben werden. Danach herrschte dann wieder eitel Sonnenschein. Die aufkommenden Erinnerungen an das Regenrennen von 2011 verschwanden sofort wieder\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wie es sich f\u00fcr die Veranstaltung geh\u00f6rte, gab es neben den Teilnehmerrekorden (in allen Wettbewerben) weitere herausragende und bemerkenswerte Ergebnisse zu vermelden. Da w\u00e4re der Marathonlauf der M\u00e4nner: Den gewann Nico Markgraf aus Hannover in 2:28:54 Std. \u2013 es war sein erster Marathon. Der Ex-Triathlet meinte, er habe die Lust am sportlichen Dreikampf etwas verloren und da ihm das Laufen liege, l\u00e4uft er nun eben Marathon. Selbst Moderator Arne Welenz war verbl\u00fcfft \u00fcber die Lockerheit des Lehrers. \u201eIch habe mich vor drei Wochen angemeldet, hatte also eine kurze Vorbereitung.\u201c Die Strecke gefiel dem Sieger, \u201eabwechslungsreich, nicht so monoton, ein paar Hotspots, manchmal etwas einsam, aber das geh\u00f6rt zum Marathon dazu. Da muss man durch\u201c<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Doch damit nicht genug: Auch der Zweitplatzierte hatte etwas zu bieten: Eric Thomas aus Oberaudorf kam nach 2:41:16 Std. ins Ziel und erheiterte die Zuschauer mit dem Satz: \u201eEs war mein zweiter Marathon. Stark angefangen, stark abgebaut, aber eine richtig geile Atmosph\u00e4re hier in Rostock.\u201c F\u00fcr den Lauf hatte der \u00d6sterreicher, der aus Leipzig stammt, seinen Urlaub auf dem Dar\u00df unterbrochen, \u201emorgen geht es dann wieder an den Strand\u201c, meinte er optimistisch. Dritter wurde Dmitri Mezentsev aus Berlin (2:44:01). Als Vierter kam der Mann mit der Startnummer 1, Sascha Dehling (Berlin) in Ziel. \u201eIch wei\u00df gar nicht, wie ich die Startnummer bekommen habe. Ich habe mich wirklich zum letztm\u00f6glichsten Zeitpunkt angemeldet und finde das selber sehr witzig\u201c, sagte Dehling, der sich im Ziel aber beeilen musste. Er wollte noch am Abend zur\u00fcck nach Berlin fahren. Mit der Deutschen Bahn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beachtlich war auch, dass die ersten zehn Finisher des Marathonlaufs unter 3 Stunden blieben, an so etwas konnte sich auch Arne Welenz nicht erinnern. Und selbst der Elfte, Elti Hoxha aus Wismar, kam mit einer Nettozeit von exakt 3:00:00 Std. ins Ziel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Auch die Siegerin der Frauen hatte niemand so auf dem Zettel. Philine Lichtenberg aus M\u00fcnchen hatte sich spontan f\u00fcr den Lauf angemeldet, weil ihre Mutter ebenfalls am Start war. In der vergangenen Woche schloss die Hobbyl\u00e4uferin ihr Studium ab und hatte also nichts Besseres zu tun, als einen Marathonlauf in Rostock in 3:04:42 Std. zu gewinnen. \u201eDie Strecke war toll, es war sch\u00f6n, am Wasser langzulaufen. Das hat mir supergut gefallen.\u201c<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beim Halbmarathon siegte Nico Semper von der LG Oberhavel in 1:12:54 Std. und hatte die Lacher mit dem Satz: \u201eIch bin die vergangenen beiden Jahre den Marathon gelaufen und hatte vergessen, wie schwer die Strecke ist\u201c, auf seiner Seite. Nach George Howard (OSC Berlin\/1:18:28 Std.) kam Marcus Kunze als Dritter ins Ziel. Der ehemalige Mittelstreckler des 1. LAV Rostock ist heute Mitglied des TC Fiko Rostock und versucht den Spagat zwischen Beruf, Familie und Sport. \u201eDie Strecke ist recht herausfordernd, aber am Ende hab ich sie gemeistert. An die Strecke geht man mit 42 anders ran, als mit 20.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bei den Frauen gab es einen Rostocker Sieg. Katrin Winkler vom TC Fiko Rostock gewann in 1:32:32 Std. und war f\u00f6rmlich au\u00dfer sic vor Freude und Gl\u00fcck: \u201eIch bin mega zufrieden. Es war einfach nur geil. So viele Leute auf der Strecke, die jubeln, es war gro\u00dfartig\u201c.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Auch abseits der Top-Leitungen der Wettbewerbe gab es eine Menge zu entdecken. Schweizer F\u00e4hnchen fielen den Besuchern auf. Vier L\u00e4uferinnen und L\u00e4ufer, dazu noch ein paar Fans mit roten H\u00fcten. \u201eIch bin urspr\u00fcnglich aus Rostock und lebe seit 2005 in der Schweiz\u201c, erz\u00e4hlte Stefanie Reber, die zusammen mit ihrem Mann Stefan und den Kindern Ben und Tim, an der Marathon-Nacht teilnahm. Die Eltern und Gro\u00dfeltern unterst\u00fctzten das Quartett lautstark und farbenfroh. Die Jungs machten ihre Sache beim Sch\u00fclerlauf gut, \u201eder war ganz sch\u00f6n, weil er am Wasser war\u201c. Stefanie Reber startete erstmals beim Halbmarathon. Ehemann Stefan dagegen kannte die Strecke zwischen Mautstelle und Stadthafen bereits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maurice Tiedemann absolvierte seinen ersten Marathonlauf und zeigte sich begeistert \u201eDurch den Tunnel laufen ist schon cool, gerade, wenn man sonst immer nur dadurch f\u00e4hrt.\u201c Auch mit seiner Premierenzeit ist der Rostocker zufrieden. \u201eIch wollte unter vier Stunden bleiben.\u201c Am Ende waren es 3:54:03 Std.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Halbmarathoni Burkard M\u00fcller von der LG Hopfen Schackensleben in Sachsen-Anhalt fand es im Tunnel etwas \u201estickig\u201c. Bei seiner ersten Teilnahme in Rostock schaffte er den \u201eHalben\u201c in 1:55:09 Std., obwohl er untrainiert war. Wiederholung nicht ausgeschlossen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dorett und Andr\u00e9 Marquardt kamen aus L\u00fcbeck nach Rostock und haben einen Vergleich, wie es ist, durch einen anderen Tunnel zu laufen. \u201eIn L\u00fcbeck l\u00e4uft man am Tag, das ist schon eine andere Nummer. Stimmungsm\u00e4\u00dfig ist es schon cool in Rostock, aber auch ganz sch\u00f6n hart\u201c, meinte die Dame des Hauses. Auf die Frage, ob das n\u00e4chste Mal der Marathon in Rostock anstehen wird, gab es allerdings zwei Meinungen. W\u00e4hrend Dorett dies klar verneinte, schloss Andr\u00e9 dies mit einem \u201eWir schauen mal\u201c zumindest nicht aus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
