Erfahrung zahlt sich aus: Platz drei in der Altersklasse \u00dc73<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Mit gro\u00dfem Kampfgeist und spielerischer Klasse haben sich die Volleyball-Senioren der BSG Empor Stralsund bei der Deutschen Meisterschaft des Deutschen Volleyball-Verbandes (DVV) in Gelnhausen die Bronzemedaille gesichert. In der Altersklasse \u00dc73 geh\u00f6rten die Hanseaten damit zu den besten Teams Deutschlands.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Erstmals fand das traditionsreiche Seniorenturnier Anfang Oktober in der Barbarossastadt Gelnhausen bei Fulda statt \u2013 und zog mit 15 Mannschaften aus dem gesamten Bundesgebiet so viele Teams an wie nie zuvor. Auf vier Spielfeldern in der Rudi-Lechleidner-Sporthalle wurde um Punkte, S\u00e4tze und Medaillen gek\u00e4mpft. F\u00fcr die Stralsunder Oldies war es eine Premiere in der neuen, h\u00f6chsten Altersklasse \u00fcber 73 Jahre \u2013 und sie machten ihre Sache hervorragend. In einem stark besetzten Feld mit Gegnern aus Solingen, Backnang, Chemnitz, Frankfurt, Saarbr\u00fccken sowie dem alten und neuen Meister SG Rotation Prenzlauer Berg (Berlin) bewiesen die Norddeutschen Nervenst\u00e4rke und Routine. Im entscheidenden Spiel um Platz drei gelang ihnen ein verdienter 2:0-Erfolg gegen die SolingenVolleys \u2013 und damit der Sprung aufs Podest.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Der Erfolg kn\u00fcpft an eine lange Geschichte an: Schon seit 2017 vertreten die Stralsunder Farben regelm\u00e4\u00dfig die Hansestadt bei Deutschen Meisterschaften. In fr\u00fcheren Jahren traten sie in den Altersklassen \u00dc64 und \u00dc69 an, 2022 gab es in Solingen bereits einmal den dritten Platz. Mit \u00dc73-Bronze konnten die Empor-Volleyballer nun erneut ein deutliches Ausrufezeichen setzen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die BSG Empor Stralsund, die in diesem Jahr ihr 75-j\u00e4hriges Bestehen feiert, bietet nicht nur Volleyball, sondern auch Badminton an. Neue Mitspielerinnen und Mitspieler ab 20 Jahre \u2013 besonders auch \u00e4ltere \u2013 sind willkommen. Das Training findet donnerstags in der Curie-Sporthalle statt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
