Die Outdoor-Ausstellung \u201eZwischen Erfolg und Verfolgung \u2013 J\u00fcdische Stars im deutschen Sport bis 1933 und danach\u201c des Zentrums deutsche Sportgeschichte e.V. r\u00fcckt vom 01. \u2013 28. Mai 2026 mit eindrucksvollen, gro\u00dfformatigen skulpturalen Pr\u00e4sentationen den pr\u00e4genden Beitrag j\u00fcdischer Athletinnen und Athleten zur Entwicklung des modernen Sports in Deutschland in den Mittelpunkt. Sie macht sichtbar, wie sehr j\u00fcdische Sportlerinnen und Sportler das sportliche Leben der Weimarer Republik bereicherten \u2013 und wie sie im Nationalsozialismus ausgegrenzt, verfolgt und entrechtet wurden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Zur feierlichen Ausstellungser\u00f6ffnung am 7. Mai 2026 um 17 Uhr werden Andreas Bluhm, Pr\u00e4sident des Landessportbunds Mecklenburg-Vorpommern e.V., Rostocks Oberb\u00fcrgermeisterin Eva-Maria Kr\u00f6ger sowie Prof. Dr. Lorenz Peiffer, Co-Kurator der Ausstellung, erwartet. Ein weiterer H\u00f6hepunkt ist das Gespr\u00e4ch mit Alexander Bondar vom TuS Makabi Rostock e.V., das einen aktuellen Blick auf j\u00fcdisches Sportleben er\u00f6ffnet und der anschlie\u00dfende Schaufechtkampf auf dem Vorplatz des Kr\u00f6peliner Tores. Bereits ab 16 Uhr laden die Veranstalter zu Sportangeboten zum Mitmachen ein.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Die Ausstellung portr\u00e4tiert herausragende Sportpers\u00f6nlichkeiten wie den Fu\u00dfballpionier Walther Bensemann, die Leichtathletikmeisterin Lilli Henoch, den Fu\u00dfballnationalspieler Julius Hirsch, die Fechtolympiasiegerin Helene Mayer, den Schachweltmeister Emanuel Lasker, den Meisterboxer Erich Seelig, die Tennismeisterin Nelly Neppach, die Leichtathletin Gretel Bergmann, die Turnolympiasieger Alfred und Gustav Felix Flatow, die Europameister Julius und Hermann Baruch, den Eishockeyspieler Rudi Ball sowie den Fu\u00dfballnationalspieler Gottfried Fuchs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mit der Schwimmerin Sarah Poewe, die 2004 als erste j\u00fcdische Athletin nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg eine olympische Medaille f\u00fcr Deutschland gewann, schl\u00e4gt die Ausstellung zudem eine Br\u00fccke in die Gegenwart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Makkabi Rostock e.V. stellt sich mit der Abteilung Schach vor. Besucher*innen k\u00f6nnen mehr \u00fcber den Verein erfahren, Einblicke in das Training mit Kindern und Jugendlichen und ein paar Tricks f\u00fcr das eigene Spiel bekommen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Breaking ConneXion MV e.V.
Die jungen Streetdancer zeigen eine lebhafte Trainingsstunde der fortgeschrittenen \u00dcbungsgruppe. Streetdance ist nicht nur Tanz, sondern auch ein Lebensgef\u00fchl, in das die Besucher*innen eintauchen k\u00f6nnen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

TuS Makkabi Rostock e.V.
Der Rostocker Verein stellt sich mit der Abteilung Fechten und Rollstuhlfechten vor. Viele Sportler*innen stellen sich und viele \u00dcbungen aus ihrem allt\u00e4glichen Training vor. Fechten ist ein sehr vielseitiger und interessanter Sport, der lebhaft vorgestellt wird.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
