Bei der Europameisterschaft im Ironman 70.3 konnte Michael Raelert am Sonntag im d\u00e4nischen Helsing\u00f6r nicht das erhoffte Resultat erreichen. In einem schnellen Rennen belegte der Rostocker den 13. Rang in 3:51:54 Stunden. \u201eBeim Laufen hatte ich nicht den n\u00f6tigen Speed\u201c, sagte Michael Raelert, der nach gutem Schwimmen und Radfahren den Anschluss an die F\u00fchrenden verlor. In 3:38:58 Stunden lief der Brite George Goodwin zum EM-Titel, Platz zwei belegte der US-Amerikaner Rodolphe von Berg in 3:39:21 Stunden vor dem Deutschen Jan Stratmann, der in 3:39:33 Stunden das Ziel erreichte.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_77692\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-77692\" style=\"width: 1024px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-77692\" src=\"https:\/\/mv-sport.de\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/07\/michael_raelert_elsinore_c_raelert_brothers.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"566\" \/><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-77692\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">\u00a9 Raelert-Brothers<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Als Dritter kam Michael Raelert bei der Ironman 70.3 European Championship Elsinore nach 1,9 Kilometer Schwimmen aus dem Wasser. \u201eDer Auftakt verlief positiv\u201c, sagte der Rostocker sp\u00e4ter. Der Neuseel\u00e4nder Kyle Smith kam mit einer Schwimmzeit in 21:55 Minuten an der Spitze in die erste Wechselzone, der D\u00e4ne Miki Taagholt in 21:57 Minuten und Michael Raelert in 21:58 Minuten folgten direkt dahinter.<\/p>\n<p>\u201eAllerdings habe ich beim Wechsel minimal den Anschluss zu Kyle verloren\u201c, sagte Michael Raelert. Der Neuseel\u00e4nder setzte sich auf dem Rad von der Verfolgergruppe mit allen Favoriten ab und kam auch als Erster nach 90 Kilometern mit knapp zwei Minuten Vorsprung vom Rad. Rodolphe von Berg und Michael Raelert f\u00fchrten die Verfolger an, Michael Raelert zeigte in 2:02:45 Stunden eine starke Leistung. \u201eAuf dem Rad ging es ordentlich, ich h\u00e4tte mir gew\u00fcnscht, dass mir dies auch beim Laufen gelingt.\u201c<\/p>\n<p>W\u00e4hrend der Brite George Goodwin von Platz zw\u00f6lf nach dem Radfahren zum Titel lief, sp\u00fcrte Michael Raelert schon beim zweiten Wechsel, dass der notwendige Druck fehlte. Als Zehnter ging er im hart umk\u00e4mpften Rennen auf den abschlie\u00dfenden Halbmarathon und bew\u00e4ltigte diesen in 1:21:30 Stunden. \u201eDie Laufzeit konnte nicht mehr gut werden\u201c, sagte der dreimalige Europameister im Ironman 70.3 nach dem Zieleinlauf, \u201ees war einfach \u00fcberhaupt kein Speed da. Nat\u00fcrlich entt\u00e4uscht mich das extrem, aber es gibt auch Motivation.
