2. Liga-Wasserballer mit Comeback am Samstag in Hamburg
HSG Warnemünde debütiert beim Bundesligaabsteiger
Am Samstagnachmittag ist es endlich soweit. Aufsteiger HSG Warnemünde kommt zum 1. Saisonspiel der 2. Liga-Nord am Samstag beim Hamburger TB62. Der Bundesligaabsteiger hat als Ziel den direkten Wiederaufstieg angepeilt, dabei jedoch vergangene Woche in Laatzen eine bitter 10:15-Niederlage einstecken müssen. Die HSG hingegen wartet nach der Spielabsage von Cuxhaven vor einer Woche noch auf den 1. Anpfiff.
Gegen die starken Hamburger geht Warnemünde als Außenseiter ins Rennen, zumal man vor der hiesigen Grippewelle nicht gefeit ist. „Uns fallen 2-3 wichtige Spieler aus und auch unser Kapitän und Anführer Niklas Heese fällt als blitzschneller Konterspieler leider krankheitsbedingt aus. Dennoch werden wir in Hamburg antreten und unser Bestes zum Auftakt geben,“ sagt Trainer Christian Strege nach dem Abschlusstraining am Donnerstagabend in der Rostocker Neptunschwimmhalle. Es wird der erste und einzige Auftritt im Dezember bleiben, ehe es in die Weihnachtspause und erst ab dem 14.01.2023 mit dem nächsten Ligaspiel weitergeht.
